Medical fittings machined to your drawing

We are not a distributor: standard off-the-shelf adapters and hose assemblies are not sold here. What we supply is the fitting body, nut, adapter or port your drawing defines, machined, inspected and documented under an ISO 13485 quality system, from engineering samples to repeat production. Fittings sit with our structural device components.

Made to your drawing

Each fitting body, nut, adapter or port is machined to the OEM drawing; we do not stock or sell catalog adapters.

OEM owns conformance Icon

OEM owns conformance

Connector conformance to its standard is part of the OEM's design verification; we machine to the drawing's dimensions.

Documents on request Icon

Documents on request

FAI report, CMM report, CoC and material certificates are available on request, with lot traceability on each shipment.

Fittings from samples to production

We machine engineering samples, pilot builds and repeat lots. The OEM sets requirements tied to the gas or fluid, such as lead content limits and oxygen compatibility. Ports are often cut directly into fluidic manifolds for laboratory equipment rather than added as a separate fitting.

    Metals and polymers

316L stainless steel serves fitting bodies, adapters, nuts and metal fluid paths, passivated per ASTM A967 when called for. Aluminum 6061 suits lightweight equipment fittings and port blocks, anodized as specified. PEEK and PPSU give chemically resistant, insulating fittings; polycarbonate keeps fluidic fittings transparent, with clarity agreed on a sample.

We machine the grade on the drawing and supply its material certificate on request.

  • Machining

    Swiss and CNC turning

Most fittings are rotational, so turning does most of the work. Swiss turning of small fittings handles slender bodies, small diameters and long bores in one cycle. Medical CNC turning covers larger bodies, nuts and flanged fittings, with milling for flats, cross-holes and off-axis ports.

Threads are tapped, thread-milled or single-point turned to ASME B1.1 or ASME B1.20.1, as the drawing calls out.

  • Finishing

    Sealing faces and finish

Sealing surfaces are finished to the roughness on the drawing, and bores are deburred. 316L fittings are passivated per ASTM A967 when called for; aluminum 6061 fittings are anodized as specified.

For polycarbonate fluidic fittings, the clarity is agreed on a sample before production.

  • Inspection

    Inspection and records

A first article inspection (FAI) checks the full drawing, including cross-hole intersections, with the FAI report on request. Threads are gauged GO / NO-GO per the agreed inspection plan; bores, sealing faces and port positions are checked dimensionally, with CMM reports on request where required.

Each shipment carries lot traceability, with a Certificate of Conformance (CoC) and material certificates on request.

Medical Fittings FAQs

FAQs

Request A Quote

MedCNCParts manufactures components to customer specifications; it does not design or market medical devices.

What are the different types of medical gas connectors available?

The main families are DISS threaded connectors (CGA V-5), quick-connect systems in several industry styles, NIST connectors (ISO 18082) and pin-index cylinder connections (CGA V-1). Each one is gas-specific, so that one gas cannot be connected to another's outlet.

Do you sell standard medical gas adapters?

No. We machine fitting components to OEM drawings and are not a distributor of standard adapters or hose assemblies.

Which materials do you machine for fittings?

Typically 316L stainless steel, aluminum, PEEK, PPSU and polycarbonate, in the grade on your drawing.

Can you clean fittings for oxygen service?

Cleaning to the OEM's oxygen-service specification, such as CGA G-4.1 or ASTM G93, is confirmed per quote.

Do you test thread and leak performance?

Thread gauging with GO / NO-GO gauges is part of inspection. Leak testing is done only when specified on the order and confirmed with the quote.
